No Vote Can Veto the Voice

The Voice is Greater than the Veto

God’s church was meant to function with a voice not a vote. It is a “voice crying in the wilderness” and not a “consensus of the multitude” that progresses the church of Jesus Christ.

Isa 58:1 ‘Cry aloud, spare not, lift up thy voice like a trumpet, and show my people their transgression, and the house of Jacob their sins.’

A dog without a voice is like a fire without heat. When such normal characteristics are missing the situations become very abnormal. Dogs bark, fire has heat, the sun shines – therefore dumb dogs are a perversion of nature and, likewise, a closed mouth preacher is a spiritual perversion.

“His watchmen are blind: they are all ignorant, they are all dumb dogs, they cannot bark; sleeping, lying down, loving to slumber. Yea, they are greedy dogs which can never have enough, and they are shepherds that cannot understand: they all look to their own way, every one for his gain, from his quarter” (Isaiah 56: 10- 11).

“How shall they HEAR without a preacher?” Silence in the pulpit about the things of God that concern eternal salvation or damnation is criminal negligence. The “silent” should never be the majority. The preaching of holiness principles must be louder than the dissenting voices of culture, protesting liberals and the roaring of the devouring lions from the pit of compromise. Where holiness and salvation doctrines are concerned—silence is never golden but godless. To HOLD the truth in unrighteousness is the guilt of the “dumb dogs that cannot bark.”

Biblical ignorance and worldliness are common amongst so many churches today—the cause? Silent mongrels in the pulpit are either asleep, spiritually blind, or cowards. They are failing to “cry aloud” to their congregations. They are taking them through the worldly wide gate, and like to make them feel good about themselves rather than preach the truth regardless of the cost. They are as “dumb dogs.”

A silent watchman is more dangerous than no watchman because people feel a sense of security if they think a watchman is on duty. God called pastors of Judah “blind watchmen” and said “they are all dumb dogs, they cannot bark” (Isa. 56:10). God demands that His watchmen should not stand idly by in sinful silence. To not speak is dishonoring to God and unloving to both the propagators and the hearers of the error. If the watchman does not blow the trumpet and warn the people, he is held accountable for any person that is taken away in his iniquity. (Ezek 33:2 -9)“…if thou dost not speak to warn the wicked from his way, that wicked man shall die in his iniquity; but his blood will I require at thine hand.” (Ezek 33:8)

WHILE PETER YET SPAKE….. the power of God is not in a vote but in a VOICE — a voice of men anointed to speak without fear or favor as the oracles of God.

No vote can veto the Voice!
