I have, through time in the ministry, witnessed some unmistakable manifestations of Satan. I have seen people wither on the floor like snakes and small individuals throw several large men around like rag dolls among other various exhibitions. These people manifested strength and abilities not their own but were clearly the workings of the enemy. No doubt, most every preacher has witnessed these unpleasant happenings somewhere and at divers times in their ministry.
Few people, even the unlearned, would mistake such occurrences as being natural—the evidence physically is too overwhelming. But, I fear, there are other, and specifically one other, kind of manifestation of the devil that goes greatly un-discerned in our midst and that is the anointing of hell given to some to speak. Speak—not in the sense of howlings and screams and babblings but in logical and meditative tones of the human voice.
It should come as no surprise that since God chose the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe that the enemy would, as a first priority, seek to counter this act of God. Sometimes we use the word “anointed” as being specific to God but I have learned that there is a counter anointing that finds its source in hell.
Hell’s anointed ones are not necessarily restricted to pulpits—but is found to be very effective in conversations and chit-chats. Just as the snake crawlers exhibit an ability that is beyond themselves (but are easy to detect) the “speakers” that are anointed of hell also perform with abilities beyond themselves (but are much harder to discern).
The devil is not only a liar but he is the father of it. And that therefore requires a “mother” to conceive and birth the seed. Men that lose the “love of the truth” are the most dangerous men on earth for they become “mothers” of the devil’s child named “Lie.”
And then they, like mothers do, nourish their child, fed it and protect it. They keep it near and gladly show it off to others. They will not allow others to harm or endanger their child—they will often protect it with their life.
These individuals that are anointed of hell are the logic-speakers and the mockers and hecklers of the holy. They speak, and write, with abilities that sway the blind and damn the unlearned. The fact, however, is that they do not truly realize they are anointed of hell—no they see themselves as the enlightened and the intellects of the age—all the while even thinking they are serving God. 2Cor 11:15 “Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works.”
There are many “voices” and none of them without significance – they all mean something. Today we not only need an ear for hearing the Word of God we also need an ear to know the difference!
Remember the Antichrist shall come “speaking great things.” Rev 13:5 “And there was given unto him a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies; and power was given unto him to continue forty and two months.” He will be anointed of hell!
Brethren, we need now, more than ever before, to get the sheep to recognize the Shepherd’s Voice because there are many hell anointed speakers all about them which are vying for their attention. Hell will make its arguments sound so good and so logical to the cold and drifting heart. I think it is time to continue to “cry aloud and spare not.”
